University of Mary Washington

One of the most successful athletes to ever compete in the swimming program, Sarah earned nine All-america awards while at Mary Washington-three individually in backstroke events and six as a member of relay teams.  A model student-athlete, she competed at the NCAA Division III Championships all four years of her career and is one of the most decorated athletes in school history.  The winner of the 1996 Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year award at Mary Washington, Sarah graduated in 1996 with a BA in studio art.
