A long-time athletic director and women’s tennis coach, Dr. Hegmann has been unquestionably the most important figure in MWC Athletic history.  His women’s tennis teams advanced to fifteen NCAA Tournaments and won three national championships, earning him two NCAA National Coach of the Year Awards.  Hegmann played a key role in the expansion of the athletic program, which has achieved national success as one of the finest, broad-based programs at any NCAA Institution.
