Hall of Fame
The 1991 volleyball team has proven over the decades to have been one of the great teams in any sport in school history. The Eagles of '91 finished with a 35-3 record, won the Capital Athletic Conference Championship, and advanced to the sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament. Their 35 victories are the most by any team in any sport in school history, and their NCAA Tournament win over 14th ranked Allegheny College in the first round was the first in program history. Individual UMW Hall of Famers Jay Wilson and Tamalyn Reed led the charge, as did all-region and all-conference hitter Cyndee Tector.
