Kirsten Rowell still ranks as the elite pitcher in school history, as she still holds the career records for appearances (98), wins (51), strikeouts (597), and earned run average (1.52). A three-time All-Capital Athletic Conference selection, she ranked fifth in the nation in strikeouts per game and saves in her senior season, as she tied the school record with 19 wins after gaining 18 in her junior season. Rowell struck out a school record 306 batters in 2009, breaking her own school record of 172 achieved the year before.
