Wong became just the second baseball All-American in UMW program history in 1996 after stealing a school-record 37 bases and hitting .425. He holds the school record with six stolen bases in one game, and for his career posted a .378 average with 102 hits, 91 runs scored, and 52 RBI. He helped the Eagles to the 1997 NCAA Division III baseball tournament. Following graduation, he became a key figure for the Kansas City Royals, as the Director of Baseball Administration after serving as Manager of Scouting Operations and Director of Baseball Operations, and is currently assistant GM for the Chicago White Sox.
