University of Mary Washington senior goalkeeper Tori Winans has been named as the Collegiate Field Hockey Conference's Defensive Player of the Week for September 15.

Winans led the Eagles to a pair of wins over nationally-ranked opponents, starting with an overtime shutout win over #17 Lynchburg, and then following with seven saves in a 2-1 win at 19th ranked Shenandoah University.
