On the strength of a 3-0 start to the season, including a pair of wins over nationally-ranked opponents last week, the University of Mary Washington field hockey team has joined the Penn Monto/National Field Hockey Coaches Association's national ranking for September 15. The Eagles check in at #21 in the nation.

After a season opening 2-0 win over Bridgewater College, the Eagles edged the University of Lynchburg (ranked #24 this week), 1-0, in overtime, and then won at #20 Shenandoah, 2-1, on Saturday.

The Eagles join the national ranking for the first time since 2017, when they were last ranked at #19.
