University of Mary Washington freshman atatcker Joe Novak (Frederick, Md.) has been named the Coastal Lacrosse Conference Offensive Player of the Week.

Novak garners his first career CLC Offensive Player of the Week honor after a dominant performance in the Eagles' conference opener, a 14-7 victory over Kean on Saturday. The freshman attacker posted three goals — a new career high — and four assists, matching his career best, to finish with seven points on the day. He has now tallied five goals and 13 assists on the season. Novak currently ranks ninth in the CLC with 1.30 assists per game in his rookie campaign.
