The Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) has announced its weekly awards following the seventh week of the 2026 baseball season. Mary Washington's
George Rizzo was named C2C Player of the Week.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK: George Rizzo, Mary Washington
Mary Washington junior George Rizzo went 4-for-9 (.444) with three walks, a home run and stole a pair of bases in three games this past week. On Tuesday against Eastern Mennonite, Rizzo led the game off with a home run, while walking twice and scoring a pair of runs. Against Virginia Wesleyan on Friday, the right fielder scored a run after being hit-by-a-pitch in the 5-2 victory. And against No. 7 Salisbury on Saturday, Rizzo went 3-for-4 with a walk and two stolen bases as he scored a pair of runs as UMW's lead-off hitter in its 7-2 victory over the Sea Gulls.
