The University of Mary Washington men's and women's outdoor track and field teams competed at the Dr. Jack Toms Invitational at the University of Lynchburg on Friday and Saturday.
The men saw
Trent Nichols finish sixth in the 5000 meters at 16:11, with
Everett Cimon taking seventh at 16:14.
Luke Blair was ninth in the 1500 meters at 4:02.37, and
Nicholas Smerlis was sixth in the 10K at 31:48, with
Steven Niese taking seventh at 31:54.
For the women,
Anijah James won the 100 meter hurdles at 15.08.
Lily Hoffman was fourth in the 10K at 38:18. The 4x100 relay finished fourth at 48.72,
Yasmin Deane was third in the 100 meters at 12.13, and
Sophia Redmond was fifth at 12.38.Â
Both teams will be back in action on April 3-4 at the Colonial Relays in WIlliamsburg.
