The University of Mary Washington men's and women's outdoor track and field teams completed day two of the Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference Championships at the Battleground on Saturday, with both teams finishing in fourth place.
The women saw sophomore
Yasmin Deane finish first in the 100 meters with a time of 12.00, and first in the 200 meters, at 24.96.
Sophia Redmond was third in the 100 at 12.03 and second in the 200 at 25.58.
Anijah James was third in the 100 meter hurdles at 14.51, and fifth in the long jump, at 17 feet, 9.75 inches.
Hannah Steele was fourth in the javelin at 90 feet, two inches, and
Jolene Adu finished fourth in the triple jump, at 34 feet, 11.75 inches.
The 4x100 meter relay of Adu, Redmond, James, and Deane broke the meet record with a winning time of 47.32,
Eyaya Fletcher was eighth in the 800 meters at 2:27.54, and
Lily Hoffman was second in the 5000 meters at 18:10.48.
On the men's side,
Justin Ford was third in the 100 meters at 10.98 and fifth in the 200 at 21.83.
Jason Duncan was fourth in the 100 meters at 11.03 abd fourth in the 200 at 21.58.
Aidan Kimener finished sixth in the 800 meters at 1:55.38,
Luke Blair was eighth in the 1500 meters at 4:01.65, and
Steven Niese took eighth in the 5K at 15:28.87.
