Jacinto Jones II broke a pair of school records, and sophomore
Yasmin Deane added another to pace the University of Mary Washington indoor track and field teams at the Virginia Commonwealth Invitational in Virginia Beach on Friday.
Jones II broke the school mark in the 60 meters, with a time of 6.87, and then ran a personal best time of 34.32 in the 300 meters, believed to be a top-ten time in Division III history to cap an historic day.
Luke Blair finished seventh in the mile, at 4:28.39.
Deane broke the school mark in the 200 meters, with a time of 25.56.
Lily Hoffman finished fifth in the mile, at 5:17.95 and fifth in the 3000 meters, at 10:40.38, and
Mattea Ryan was fifth in the 800 meters at 2:52.03.
Both teams will be back in action on January 17 at VMI and Catholic University.
