The University of Mary Washington softball team has been chosen third in the 2026 Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference preseason coaches poll.
UMW brings back All-C2C bats in third baseman
Emily Angel (.517 slugging in 41 games) and
Bayly Yerigan (.333 average in 34 games) from a season ago. Senior leaders in second baseman
Shelby Presgrave (.289 average in 38 games) and speedster outfielder
Kennedy Darling also return for the Eagles. In the circle,
Sydney Jester (67 innings),
Anna Dobson (58.2 innings) and
Cierra Foss (46 innings) are back and add a veteran presence to a younger team.
First-year talent includes
Lindsey Poole (all-state second team),
Maeve Haun (first team all-region), Ari Briddle (second team all-region), and
Charlotte Daniels (first team all-region) who all earned impressive high school accolades.
