The University of Mary Washington indoor track and field teams competed at the Bast Creggar Invitational at Roanoke College on Saturday, with several winning efforts.
On the women's side, the distance medley relay of
Ava Wray,
Eyaya Fletcher,
Katherine Armstrong, and
Addy Wallin finished in fifth place, with a time of 13:39.31. First year
Yasmine Deane finished first in the 300 meters, at 42.93, and first year
Lily Hoffman finished first in the mile at 5:22.32. Hoffman took seventh in the 800 meters at 2:26.03, and Deane finished seventh in the 200 meters at 26.33.
For the men, the Eales' distance medley relay of
Luke Blair,
Mohammed Ahmed,
Aidan Kimener, and
Jacob Lohr finished in second place, with a time of 10:41.31.
Justin Ford was fourth in the 300 meters at 36.69, while Blair was third and Lohr fourth in the 800 meters.
Jacinto Jones II took first in the 200 meters at 22.12, breaking his own school record.Â
Both teams will return to action on February 7 at Liberty University.
