The University of Mary Washington men's and women's cross country teams competed at the Christopher Newport University XC Invitational on Friday evening in Newport News, Va. The men finished sixth among 11 schools, and the women placed seventh among ten schools.
On the men's side, the Eagles were led by
Jacob Lohr, who finished in 18th place overall, with a time of 26:32.30 on the 8000 meter course.
Aidan Kimener finished in 41st place, with a time of 27:39.65, and
Luke Blair took 43rd at 27:49.48.
Everett Cimon was 46th at 28:01.03, and
Ashton Shultz was 51st at 28:15.91.
For the women,
Lily Hoffman led the Eagles by finishing 26th at 23:47.94, while
Addy Wallin was 42nd at 25:28.89.
Jessica Oberlies finished in 46th place at 25:56.29,
Maddie Binkley was 48th at 25:58.47, and
Ava Wray was 51st, at 26:14.22.
Both teams will be back in action on September 28 at the Shenandoah University Hornet Harrier.
