The University of Mary Washington men's and women's cross country teams have been honored as All-Academic Teams by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association, and first year NCAA qualifier
Lily Hoffman gained individual national all-academic team honors, as announced on Thursday.
To qualify for the team award, teams must possess at least a 3.1 grade-point average, and both Eagle teams easily qualified, with the men carrying a 3.5 GPA and the women boasting a 3.6.Â
Hoffman gained national All-Academic honors in adding tto her impressive resume on the course and in the classroom.  In order to qualify for the prestigious honor, individuals must finish within the top-25 percent at the regional championship while boasting a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30.
