The University of Mary Washington men's and women's cross country teams traveled to Logan Township, New Jersey on Saturday for the Rowan University Inter Region Border Battle, along with some of the top Division III teams along the mid-Atlantic. The women finished 17th among 31 competing teams, while on the men's side, the Eagles finished 20th among 30 schools.
Freshman
Lily Hoffman again led the Eagle women, with a 21st place finish on the 6K course, with a time of 22:11.9. Freshman
Maddie Binkley finished 97th at 24:22.2, while teammate
Addy Wallin finished next at 98th, at 24:22.5. Senior
Jessica Oberlies took 101st at 24:24.4, and
Ava Wray finished 131st with a time of 25:05.3.
On the men's side, the Eagles were led by
Aidan Kimener, who finished 81st with a time of 26:38.4, and
Luke Blair, who took 93rd at 26:51.4.
Jimmy Volk was 105th at 27:00.6,
Rylan Sedlacek was 116th at 27:09.3, and
Michael Dye took 159th with a time of 28:15.3.
Both teams will be back in action on November 2 at the Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference Championships in Newport News, Va.
