UMW Field Hockey Coaches Jamie Tierney and Lindsey Heppner to Represent USA in World Masters World Cup

University of Mary Washington head field hockey coach Jamie Tierney and assistant Coach Lindsey Heppner will represent the United States in the World Masters Hockey World Cup on July 22-August 1 in Rotterdam and Schiedam, Netherlands.

Coach Tierney will represent the U.S. on the O45 team, that will compete in Rotterdam, and Coach Heppner will compete for the O40 squad in Schiedam. "I am very excited for Master World Cup and the opportunity to compete at a high level on the field and step back into the role as an athlete - being coached, learning from teammates, and seeing the game through a different perspective", said Tierney last week. "This is my second time at a Masters event. The connections made along the way have been very special. Sharing this experience with people from around the world who have the same passion for field hockey is a reminder of how special this sport and its community truly are."
