The University of Mary Washington swimming and diving program had five members earn Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) honors, the organization announced on Wednesday.
Bridget Zagrobelny (breaststroke),
Phoebe Root (backstroke),
Spera Moy-Jacobs (sprint free),
Bri Wilson (butterfly), and
Justin Anderson (Women's Coach of the Year) were named to the All-State Team.
Zagrobelny was named to the First Team after reaching the NCAA Championships in the 200-breast this past year. Zagrobelny's top time in the 100-breaststroke was 1:04.68 achieved at the NJAC Championships and in the 200, her best time was 2:19.51.
Wilson, meanwhile, was named to the First Team as well in the butterfly after finishing the season with times of 56.24 in the 100-butterfly and 2:05.81 in the 200-fly. Moy-Jacobs was also named to the First Team after finishing with a team-best 23.93 second time in the 50-freestyle and placing on the podium at the NJAC Championships.
Root was named to the Second Team in backstroke after finishing the season with times of 56.91 in the 100-back and 2:04.77 in the 200-back.
Anderson earned All-State Women's Coach of the Year honors once again after guiding the Eagles to a second place finish in the NJAC Championships and six swimmers that qualified for the NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships.
