The 75th ranked University of Mary Washington women's tennis team swept a 7-0 decision from #68 Otterbein University on Sunday afternoon in Cleveland, Ohio. The Eagles improve to 5-7 on the season.
UMW captured all three doubles matches by identical 6-3 scores.
Addison Felts and
Natalie Kim were victorious at one,
Linda Dimitroff and
Sophia Broomall at two, and
Jacey Copeland and
Evie Snyder at three.
In singles, Felts defeated Erin Storrer at one, 6-4, 6-3, and Kim downed Lillia Walter at two, 6-2, 6-3. Dimitroff defeated Daniela DeMata at three, 6-2, 6-2, and Copeland defeated Olivia Eckels at four, 6-0, 6-2. Broomall topped Breanna Ball at five, 6-1, 6-1, and Snyder bested Cassady Shough at six, 6-3, 6-2.
The Eagles will host North Carolina Wesleyan University on Friday at 3:00 p.m.
