The 27th rankd University of Mary Washington men's tennis team dropped a ight 5-2 decision to 28h ranked Wesleyan University on Saurday afternoon in Newport News, Va. The Eagles slip to 10-4 on the season.
The Eagles scored a victory at one doubles, as
Trevor Rein and
Jack Riordan gained a 6-1 victory at one over Harrison Collomb and Max Litton, but fell at two and three to drop the doubles point.
In singles, Rein scored a 6-4, 6-2 win over Collomb at one, and
Ryan King gained a 6-4, 6-4 win over Tai MacDonald. The Eagles fell in first set tiebreakers in three matches, and were unable to recover, also falling in a three-setter.
The Eagles will return to Newport News to face Christopher Newport University next Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
