The 19th ranked University of Mary Washington men's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision at 10th ranked Swarthmore College on Sunday afternoon. The Eagles slip to 13-3 on the season.
The Eagles ran into a bit of trouble in doubles play, although juniors
Trevor Rein and
Asher Willenborg scored a 6-3 win over Michael Melnikov and Koduri at one. UMW dropped a 6-4 score at two, and 6-1 at three.
UMW scored a pair of victories in singles.
Jack Riordan gained a 6-0, 6-3 win at three singles, and
Ryan Battaglia gained a 6-3, 5-7, 6-1 win at six.
The Eagles will host 23rd ranked Christopher Newport University on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
