The 27th ranked University of Mary Washington women's tennis team defeated Randolph College, 6-1, on Wednesday afternoon at the Hegmann Family Courts. The Eagles improve to 3-0 on the season.
In doubles, the Eagles swept all three matches in gaining the win.
Addison Felts and
Natalie Kim scored a 7-5 win at one,
Sophia Broomall and
Jacey Copeland win at two, 6-3, and
Linda Dimitroff and
Evie Snyder won at three, 6-1.
In singles, Felts scored a 6-2, 2-6, 10-8 win at one, Kim gained a 6-4, 6-2 win at two, and Copeland won at four, 6-4, 6-1. Snyder scored a 6-0, 6-1 win at five, and Broomall won at six, 6-0, 6-0.
The Eagles will be back in action on Sunday at Chapman University at 5:00 p.m.
