On Saturday Feb 15, Mary Washington women's rugby traveled to the University of Maryland to complete in a round robin 7s tournament.  The tournament was consider a "friendly" as the results did not count regular season standings.  Pushing through the cold and rain of the evening, Mary Washington was victorious in its three matches:
Mary Washington 26 - Maryland 5
Mary Washington 26 - Georgetown 5
Mary Washington 17 - American 15
 
Next up for the team is the first of four Mid-Atlantic Rugby Conference (MARC) 7s series events schedule for this semester.  The event will be on Feb 22 at William & Mary.  Results from the event will be used to seed teams into the MARC 7s Championship on April 12.  The contest is likely to host 6 teams, with possible entries including William & Mary, Georgetown , Christopher Newport, VCU, and George Mason.
