The University of Mary Washington women's soccer team was selected to the 2025 NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championships after earning an at-large bid with a 12-3-4 record leading up to the selection show on Monday morning.
The Eagles are set to take on Vassar College (16-3) as they travel to the campus of Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts in the first round of the tournament. The two teams will match up at 1:30 p.m. ET on Saturday. The winner will advance to the second round against either Williams or John Jay at 1 p.m. on Sunday.

UMW finished 39th in the NCAA Power Index rankings after a strong regular season, one that included a win over then-No. 3 Christopher Newport and 14 shutouts -- the most in a single season since at least 2001. The program record of 15 was set in 1997.
The Eagles are advancing to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2019 and for the 15th time in program history after mixture of experience and youth earned them a spot in the dance. They had a Coast-to-Coast Conference-best eight all-conference selections as senior
Natalie Anderson led the way on the backline. She was joined on the first team by junior
Maci Landel (conference-best nine goals), senior
Ellen Shine, and junior
Naomi Knight. On the second team it was junior
Emily Box, sophomores
Layla Royster,
Katie Britton, and
Emily Orn.
