The University of Mary Washington women's tennis team competed in and hosted the ITA South/Southeast Regional tournaments this weekend at the Hegmann Family Tennis Complex.
In the main doubles draw, Eagles
Addison Felts and
Natalie Kim advanced to the quarterfinals, defeating Meagan Donovan and Riho Ijima of Washington & Lee University, 8-4, in the round of 32, and then Sahana Madala and Catharina Ausfahl of Johns Hopkins, 8-7 (3) in the round of 16. The pair fell in the quarters to Shelly Zinchenko and Anna Chow of Carnegie Mellon, 8-4.
In singles action,
Linda Dimitroff won her first round match against Samantha Robertson of Christopher Newport, 4-6, 6-3, 10-7, and
Evie Snyder won hers over Meena Lennon of Virginia Wesleyan, 6-2, 6-0.
