#33 UMW Women's Tennis Falls at #4 Wesleyan, 5-0, in NCAA Tourney 3rd Round

The 33rd ranked University of Mary Washington women's tennis team saw its run through the NCAA Tournament come to a close on Sunday with a 5-0 loss at fourth-ranked Wesleyan University. The Eagles finish with a record of 11-10.

UMW dropped the three doubles matches, with Amanda Hagino and Hana Kimmey taking Wesleyan to the limit, falling 8-7 (5) at one. Abby Moghtader and Rebecca Stepleman fell at two, 8-4, and Emily Beckner and Riley Smith fell at three, 8-2.

In singles, the Eagles dropped matches at six, with Smith falling 6-2, 6-0, and at three, with Kimmey falling 6-2, 6-2.

Moghtader will represent the Eagles at the NCAA Singles Championship on May 19-21 in Orlando, Fla.
