The sixteenth-ranked University of Mary Washington women's tennis team defeated the University of Redlands, 5-4, on Thursday afternoon in Redlands, Ca. The Eagles improve to 5-0 on the season. 

In doubles competition, Redlands took two out of the three matches to take the early lead 2-1. Caroline Mosberg and Rachel Summers got the lone win at two as they won 8-1.

In singles, Rachel Summers won at two, 6-2, 6-2; Caroline Mosberg won at three, 6-3, 6-3; Danielle Mirabella won at five 6-3, 6-2; and Addie Hinton won at six, 7-5, 6-3.

UMW will be back in action on Friday as they take on Caltech at 6 p.m. in Pasadena, Ca.
