The University of Mary Washington women's tennis team closed its western swing with a 6-3 loss to 22nd ranked Redlands on Friday. UMW falls to 5-2 on the season.
In doubles, the Eagles gained a point at three, as Alina Suyama and Kait Brogan won, 8-3, but UMW moved to singles trailing, 2-1.
In singles play, the Eagles gained victories at three, as Caroline Mosberg won, 6-3, 6-0, and at four, as Chrissy Gaul won, 6-1, 6-3.
Mary Washington will return home to face Frostburg State on Friday at 2:00 p.m.
