The University of Mary Washington women's tennis team dropped a 6-3 decision to Division I Longwood University, but rebounded to top North Carolina Wesleyan College on Saturday at the UMW Indoor Tennis Center in their first matches of the 2015 spring season.
The Eagles took a 2-1 lead on Longwood after doubles after winning at one and three, but came away with one singles win, from Chrissy Gaul at three.
UMW rebounded to top NC Wesleyan, winning all three doubles matches before taking four of six singles flights.
The Eagles will be back in action on Sunday at the ITC against George Mason University.
