Junior Tola Adebanjo scored eight kills and 16 digs, and sophomore Ellen Smethurst added seven kills and four blocks to pace the University of Mary Washington volleyball team to a 3-0 victory over visiting Gallaudet University in a nonconference match at Goolrick Gymnasium on Thursday night. Game scores were 25-20, 25-15, 25-14.

In addition, freshman Hannah Lawson had nine kills and three aces, Laura Gomez contributed six blocks, and Karissa Herrick added six kills. Katie Shiflett had 26 assists and Kaitlynn Wickersham scored three aces and 10 digs.

Mary Washington will return to action next Thursday when they visit St. Mary's College in a CAC match starting at 7:00 p.m.
