PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Ryan Henson, Mary Washington
Mary Washington sophomore Ryan Henson had the hot bat against No. 24 Christopher Newport on Saturday as the first baseman doubled twice and drove in three runs, while collecting three hits. Henson's bases-clearing 3-RBI double against the Captains tied the game at five in the sixth. He doubled once more in the eighth, scoring the seventh run in the Eagles' 7-6 victory which clinched the top seed in the C2C Baseball Championship.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK: Matthew Boyd, Mary Washington
Mary Washington senior Matthew Boyd was nothing short of stellar after coming on in relief against No. 24 Christopher Newport on Saturday. The senior right-hander tossed 4.1 innings in relief as he came in with a 5-2 deficit before finishing with a 7-6 victory.
