The University of Mary Washington women's soccer team's Maci Landel was named to the Virginia Sports Information Directors' (VaSID) All-State First Team on Tuesday afternoon, the organization announced.

The sophomore midfielder played and started in all 19 games for the Eagles this past season, scoring once and assisted on six of UMW's 25 team goals this past fall. For her play, Landel was one of three Eagles named to the All-Region VI Team in December as well. Landel recorded 38 total shots with 17 shots-on-goal for UMW in 2024 and was awarded an all-conference spot for the second season in a row.

Landel was named an All-State honoree this past summer after scoring four times and adding three assists as a freshman in 2023.

VaSID names 44 all-state teams in 23 sports each year, as well as an Academic All-State squad and an all-sports champion in both the University and College Divisions. Membership in VaSID is open to all media relations professionals working at a university or conference in the state of Virginia.
