Box Score The University of Mary Washington baseball team dropped a 9-0 decision to Arcadia University on Saturday afternoon at V. Earl Dickinson Stadium. The Eagles slip to 2-2 on the season.
The Knights plated single runs in the first and second, and added two in the seventh and five in the ninth.
UMW was led at the plate by senior outfielder Sam Freeborne, who had a pair of hits. Sophomore Ty Lowe absorbed the tough luck loss, as he pitched well, scattering seven hits with no walks and four strikeouts in six innings.
The Eagles will be back in action on Sunday, when they host Washington College (MD) at 2:15 p.m.
