UMW Baseball Alum Griffin Graham ('25) Signs Professional Baseball Contract With The USPBL

University of Mary Washington baseball alumni Griffin Graham ('25) is planning to continue his career in baseball as the former Eagle signed a contract to pitch for the Utica Unicorns in the United States Professional Baseball League in Utica, Michigan.

Graham pitched in Fredericksburg for four seasons before earning his degree in his degree in Business Administration in 2025. Used mainly as a reliever, the right-hander appeared in 45 games, amassing four saves and 49 strikeouts in nearly 46 innings.

The USPBL powered by Mortgage Matchup launched May 2016 with an initial slate of three teams playing a full 75-game schedule at Jimmy John's Field in historic downtown Utica. In eight seasons, 52 USPBL players have been signed by Major League organizations, while six have appeared on MLB rosters -- including the Washington Nationals' Joey Wiemer.

Graham and Utica open their season up on Thursday, June 11 at Jimmy Johns Field in Utica, Michigan. You can watch and follow along with Graham's season here.
