The University of Mary Washington men's lacrosse team fell behind, 7-1, came all the way back to tie the score the final minutes, but fell, 13-11, at Frostburg State University on Wednesday night in Frostburg, Md. The Eagles fall to 7-6 on the season.

The Bobcats opened the scoring in the first minute, but Eagle Billy Kelly answered a minute later to tie the score at 1-1. From there, FSU would score six straight goals to lead, 7-1, with 9:02 left in the second quarter.

The Eagles answered with four straight goals to end the half, as Paul Tunick scored on a Luke Dick asisst with 8:41 left, Sean Dacey scored with 7:09 left, Griffin Burke found the nets at 3:46 remaining, and Dacey capped the half at the 1:46 mark.

Tunick opened the third quarter with a goal with 13:33 left to draw within one, but Frostburg answered two minutes later. Again, UMW cut the deficit to one as John Bohlinger scored with 7:43 to go in the quarter, and after anoter Bobcat goal, Bohlinger ended the quarter with a goal, again cutting the deficit to one at 9-8 entering the fourth quarter.

The Bobcats scored the first two goals of the fourth to up its lead to 11-8, but UMW answered with a rally that resultd in a tie score. Dacey, Joey Marson, and Luke Dick scored in the run, and the score stood tied with 5:39 to play.

The Bobcats scored with 2:24 to go, and added another in the final minute for the 13-11 win. Frostburg led in shots, 38-36, and in ground balls, 43-34. Zack Del Grosso had nine saves in goal for UMW.

The Eagles will close the regular season on Saturday when they host Marymount University at 4:00 p.m.
