T.L. Tutor (Islesboro, Me., Gould Academy) each scored second half goals to lead the University of Mary Washington men's soccer team to a 2-0 victory over St. Mary's College on Wednesday afternoon in Capital Athletic Conference action. The Eagles improve to 6-0-1 overall and 2-0 in league play.
After a scoreless first half, Sims scored at 52:45 on an assist from
Ryan Taibl (Centreville, Va., Westfield). Tutor scored his team-high eighth goal of the season just less than 10 minutes later unassisted.
The Eagles outshot St. Mary's, 8-6, and UMW had the lone corner kick of the day. UMW sophomore
Alec Constantine (McLean, Va., Langley) recorded his third straight shutout with three saves, while SMC's Paul Spranklin had no saves.
Mary Washington will host 11th ranked Messiah College on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
