The 22nd ranked University of Mary Washington field hockey team dropped a 4-1 decision at 17th ranked Washington and Lee University on a rainy Wednesday night in Lexington, Va. The Eagles slip to 4-2 on the season.

The Generals went ahead with a goal in the final minute of the first, and added insurance goals in the second and third for the final margin of victory.
Washington and Lee led in shots, 18-6, as well as penalty corners, 4-3. Eagle goalkeeper
Tori Winans made six saves on the night.
The Eagles will be back in action on Saturday at Roanoke College at 3:00 p.m.
