The University of Mary Washington women's soccer used three second half goals to come away with a 3-0 victory over St. Mary's on Wednesday evening in St. Mary's City, Md.
After a scoreless first half saw the Eagles control most of possession with eight of the game's first 10 shots, it was
Layla Royster's right foot that drew first blood on the Seahawks in the 58' once
Maci Landel found her open in the box. Just four minutes later, Landel controlled the ball before finding
Naomi Knight for Knight's first goal of the season that put UMW up by a pair of goals, 2-0.
And in the final minute of the game,
Marla Vera-Sanchez was able to find
Emma Braxton open for Braxton's first career goal and to add to the lead, 3-0.
Mary Washington dominated possession in the second half as it took 13 total shots, while holding St. Mary's to just three. Of the Eagles' 21 shots, eight were on goal on Wednesday. Too, UMW dominated in corner kicks as the Eagles had 13, while shutting out St. Mary's in corners.

Emily Orn held the Seahawks scoreless in net as the junior racked up a pair of saves -- holding an opponent scoreless for the third time this season.
The Eagles are back in action on Saturday against Batten at Roy Gordon Field in Fredericksburg, Va. First touch is set for 2 p.m.
