Abigail Fisher scored six goals, including three straight in a decisive third quarter run, to lead the University of Mary Washington women's lacrosse team to a 12-11 victory at Dickinson College on Saturday afternoon in Carlisle, Pa. The Eagles improve to 10-7 on the season.

Sadie Laughlin pass to pull UMW to within 3-2. Dickinson added two of their own to lead, 5-2, after the first 15 minutes.
After Dickinson scored to open the second, UMW got back into the game by scoring four of the next five goals to pull to within 7-6. Laughlin scored on a Firesheets assist at 9:11, Fisher added another at 8:33, and Laughlin scored again at 7:26 on a
Kimber Konen pass. After the Red Devils stopped the run, Fisher added her third of the game at 4:51.
The Red Devils closed the second with a goal, and added another to open the third to up their advantage to 9-6. From there, Konen scored less than a minute later, and Fisher followed with three straight over a seven minute span, with assists going to Laughlin and Konen, to give UMW a 10-9 edge. Laughlin added another late score to give the Eagles an 11-9 lead entering the fourth quarter.
Dickinson pulled to within 11-10, but junior
Gracie Fugleberg provided what would be the game winner with 8:24 to go. Dickinson pulled back to within one with 4:40 left, but UMW forced a turnover off the ensuing draw control, and Dickinson's final shot in the waning seconds sailed wide.
The Eagles led in shots, 30-28, and forced 17 Dickinson turnovers. Junior goalkeeper
Cece Van Blenis made nine saves on the day in gaining the win.
UMW next play in the Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference tournament semifinal next Wednesday at Christopher Newport University. Game time is set for 4:00 p.m.
