The University of Mary Washington men's basketball team will host the first two rounds of the NCAA Division III Tournament this weekend in Fredericksburg, Va. The Eagles, seeded fourth in the championship, will host Worcester State University on Friday at 7:30 pm, and Worcester Polytechnic Institute will face Amherst College in the first contest of the day at 5:00 pm. Friday's winners will square off on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. with the winner advancing to the sweet 16 next weekend.
The Eagles are making their fifth NCAA Tournament appearance, including their third in four years, and are hosting tournament action for the second time. The Eagles, 24-3 on the season, have posted a 6-3 mark against foes that advanced to the NCAA Tournament, and are undefeated at home this season (13-0).
General admission tickets can be purchased in-person at the ticket booth located at the court yard entrance of the arena, starting 90 minutes before tipoff of the first game each day, and are good for all games played that day.
