The University of Mary Washington's
Kye Robinson was named to the D3Hoops.com All-Region VI Team on Monday morning, per a release from D3Hoops.
Robinson, who was named the Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Year for his efforts, is believed to be the quickest player in program history to reach 1,000 career points. He's led the No. 5 Eagles to their second Elite Eight berth in program history, averaging nearly 25 points-per-game on on 51% shooting and nearly seven rebounds and four assists per game. Robinson has led UMW to one of the best season's in program history, which includes a program-record 27 wins and a perfect 16-0 slate at home this season.
After leading UMW to its second consecutive C2C championship victory, Robinson was named the C2C Tournament MVP for his efforts and has scored nearly 27 points-per-game in the Eagles' three NCAA Tournament victories, including a game-leading 35 points against No. 14 Wisconsin-La Crosse in the Sweet Sixteen matchup.
Robinson and the Eagles take on No. 6 University of Chicago in the NCAA Quarterfinals on Thursday at 9 p.m.
