The Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) has announced its weekly awards following the eighth week of the 2026 women's soccer season. Mary Washington's Maci Landel was named  C2C Offensive Player of the Week with her teammate Naomi Knight taking home C2C Defensive Player of the Week honors.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Maci Landel, Mary Washington

In the University of Mary Washington's lone game this week, Maci Landel scored and assisted on both of the Eagles goals in a 2-0 win over Christopher Newport on Saturday. On the first goal, Landel booted the ball away on a corner, which found the head of an Eagle before flying into the back of the net for the first goal of the afternoon. To put the game away on Saturday, Landel netted a penalty kick at the end of the first half that put the Eagles ahead 2-0.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Naomi Knight, Mary Washington

In the University of Mary Washington's lone game this week, Naomi Knight did it all for the Eagles on the backline as the senior recorded the game-winning goal and led the defense to a shutout in a 2-0 win over Christopher Newport. For her goal, Knight was in the right place as a corner kick came flying into the box. The senior jumped as her head redirected the ball past the CNU keeper and into the back of the net for UMW's first goal of the game. On defense, Knight forced the Captains into some tough shots as only three of their 12 shots were on goal as she helped preserve UMW's ninth shutout this season.
