The University of Mary Washington volleyball team dropped a 3-1 decision to Catholic University on Wednesday night at Ron Rosner Arena. Game scores were 25-20, 20-25, 25-15, 25-20; the Eagles slip to 0-4 on the season.
The Eagles were led by sophomore
Alice Holoubek and junior
Natalie Brown, who each 10 kills. Senior
Avery Gallahue added nine, and first year
Mackenzie Williams posted eight.
Olivia Fortier contributed 21 assists and senior
Maura Munson added 20, and junior
Julia Gustafson posted a team-high 14 digs and also added six service aces.
UMW hit .115 on the night (48-130, with 33 errors), while Catholic hit .267.Â
The Eagles will be back in action on Friday at Washington and Lee University, at 7:00 p.m.
