Box Score The University of Mary Washington volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision at ninth-ranked Washington & Lee University on Friday night in Lexington, Va. Game scores were 25-4, 25-20, 26-24.

Claire Wortman led the Eagles with six kills, while Sarah Starling, Alice Holoubek, and Avery Gallahue added five each. Olivia Fortier scored 15 assists, and Sydney Aiken added 14 digs and five assists. 

UMW recorded 29 kills in 113 attempts, for a -.027 hitting average, with 28 assists, three aces, and six service errors. The Eagles posted one solo block and ten block assists, with 50 digs.

The Eagles will continue in Lexington on Saturday, facing Southern Virginia University at 11 a.m. and St. Mary's College of MD at 1:30 p.m.
