The University of Mary Washington volleyball team scored a 3-0 victory over visiting Eastern Mennonite University on Tuesday night at Ron Rosner Arena. Game scores were 25-16, 25-20, 25-22; the Eagles improve to 4-11 on the season.
Senior
Avery Gallahue led UMW with eight kills in 20 attempts, while junior
Natalie Brown posted eight kills in 24 attempts with just two errors. Sophomore
Sarah Starling added seven kills. Senior
Maura Munson led with 16 assists, while first year
Olivia Fortier added 13, and junior
Julia Gustafson posted four aces and 11 digs.Â
Gallahue had four blocks and four digs, while junior Sydney AIken led with 17 digs.
The Eagles will be back in action on Saturday, when they host sixth-ranked Washington & Lee University at 11 a.m. and Gettysburg College at 4 p.m.
