The University of Mary Washington men's soccer team (RV) dropped Wednesday's contest against Lynchburg, 1-0, in Lynchburg, Va. The Eagles fell behind by a goal in the eighth minute and couldn't get much going from there as they played a man down from the 36-minute mark on.
UMW's first shot attempt came in the 80th minute off the foot of
Micah Davis that was saved by the Hornets' keeper. Meanwhile,
Elliot Berg had the Eagles' second shot that also couldn't find the back of the net in the 85th minute.
The Hornets led in shots (18-8), shots-on-goal (8-1), and corners (5-2). Keeper
Tristan Kickbush had a solid night in net for Mary Washington as he kept the Eagles in Wednesday's contest with seven total saves.
The Eagles are back in action on Saturday against Virginia Wesleyan at the Turf Stadium at 1 p.m.
