The University of Mary Washington women's soccer team used a 16th minute goal off of the foot of
Skye Lawhun to push past Penn State Harrisburg on Sunday afternoon, 1-0, in Fredericksburg, Va.
The Eagles took a total of 12 shots -- four on net -- compared to PSH's nine (one on net).
Layla Royster led the way with four shots, while
Maci Landel and Lawhun each recorded a pair of shots.
Madison Bauserman,
Katie Britton,
Cassidy Shaw, and
Emily Box each recorded a shot for UMW.
Emily Orn was credited with her second shutout of the season after saving Penn State Harrisburg's lone shot-on-goal. The Eagles led in corners kicks (3-0) and didn't draw any cards.
Mary Washington is back in action on Wednesday at Southern Virginia -- kick-off is set for 5 p.m.
