The University of Mary Washington split a Tuesday doubleheader with Stevenson in Fredericksburg, Va.
Game 1 - Eagles win, 3-2.
The Eagles began Tuesday with a thrilling comeback win over the Mustangs in Game 1 as

Marshall took to the circle with an out in the fourth and shoved from there -- her outing gave the boost the Eagles needed as they scratched across two runs in the fifth when

And from there, Marshall was nails, yielding just three hits and retiring the final 11 hitters to come away with her first career victory. UMW collected seven hits as
Hannah Steele,
Kennedy Darling, Angel,
Shelby Presgrave, Marshall, and
Brigid Ward all recorded knocks for UMW.
Game 2 - Eagles lose, 11-6.
In Game 2, UMW jumped out to a 1-0 lead when Ward grounded out to score
Bayly Yerigan, then pushed across three more in the second. It began with Steele's RBI single to center field, then Angel followed with her second two-RBI single of the afternoon to push the lead to 4-0.
The Mustangs tied the score with four in the third, but the Eagles scratched across two more runs in the fourth. Presgrave tripled to right center that scored Angel, then Ward drove a sac fly to score Presgrave, putting UMW up by two, 6-4.
In the final two frames, though, Stevenson scored six runs to take an 11-6 lead and the victory.
