The University of Mary Washington women's basketball team fell to Swarthmore on Saturday afternoon, 54-37, in Swarthmore, Pa. The Eagles were led by
Megan Baxter's nine points and seven rebounds.
As a team, the Eagles were 14-of-62 from the floor, which included a pair of 3-pointer's as both Baxter and
Sophie Pavlech accounted for. On defense, UMW held Swarthmore to a 20-of-52 mark from the floor (38.5%) and just a 3-for-12 line from deep (25%), while forcing 17 turnovers.
Mary Washington is back in action next Saturday at Salisbury. Tip-off is set for 2:00 p.m.
